Edward Joseph Berry

Edward J. Berry, 83, of New Port Richey passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2020 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Ed had been receiving treatments at James A. Haley VA Medical Center for many years before he entered into peaceful rest.  Originally from Morgantown, WV he is the son of Joseph and Catherine (DeVaughn) Berry.  In March of 1958, Ed enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his nation honorably for 3 years.

After his Marine Corps service ended, he married Billie Kelly on September 21, 1963.  Together they shared 56 years of marriage.

Ed earned a bachelor’s degree in education and spent his career as a teacher.  Some of the things he loved to do were roller coasters, amusement parks and being outside.  He was a natural educator and always wanted to teach his family something new.  He was the most kind, loving, gentle man one could ever hope to meet.  The world will never be the same without him.

Mr. Berry leaves behind a loving family including his wife Willamene “Billie” Berry; daughters Susi Johnson and Diane Parker; grandchildren Jenny, Brandon, David, Brittany, Alexis and Meagen; great-grandchildren Scarlett, Justin, Connor, Dillion, Kaitlyn, Carly, Ashlynn, Ember and Harper.
