Edward Madonia
Edward J. Madonia Jr, 71, of Dunedin, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on April 16, 2021.  Born July 8, 1949, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Edward Madonia Sr and Gladys Madonia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Carey-Madonia, and sister Gail Madonia.

Edward was a 0311-Riflemen, awarded a Purple Heart, a Combat Ribbon, a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with one star, and a Republic of Vietnam Champaign Medal.Eddie, as he his known by his friends and family, is survived by his sister Gloria Cunningham, Dunedin, FL, his brother Mark Madonia (Kim) of Knoxville, TN, two sons, Chad Madonia (Michelle), Christian Madonia both of Clearwater, and a grandson, Ryan Madonia. Eddie also has several nieces and nephews in Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina.

There will be a service with military honors to be held Friday the 30th at 9:30am at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL.

In lieu of flowers the Madonia family has asked that any memorial contributions be made to the Purple Heart Foundation in memory of Edward Madonia.

    Awkle sealce Koo-ya-Nikki….. I can hear you talking to mom in the language only you two know. You are no longer suffering. You are home now with boom-ma, boom-pa, and you get to hear aunt Gail’s laugh and flossie is probably roller skating around you. Rest In Peace uncle Eddie!
