Eileen Helen McGuire, age 94, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024. Born on October 21, 1930, in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Mary Wolf.
Eileen was a loving wife to Daniel McGuire for 27 years, a devoted mother, and a cherished grandmother. She is survived by Christine Schneyman (and her husband Michael Schneyman), Kurt Northrup, and Karen Velzy, as well as her grandchildren, Erica, Rich, Bobby, Meghan, Devin, Erich, and Kate, and her great-grandchildren, Liam, Oliver, Elliott, Ella, Elijah and Gage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Wolf, her husband Daniel, and George Northrup.
Eileen’s career spanned many years working in office management. Alongside her professional accomplishments, Eileen was an extraordinarily talented violinist, performing with the Yonkers, New York Philharmonic Orchestra. She was also a mother to many, not only to her biological children but also many foster children, including Philip Mitchell, Aurora Weiss, and David Delafield. Eileen was a phenomenal cook, with a love for all music and a sense of humor that brightened any room. Her infectious laugh, nurturing spirit, and unwavering positivity will be remembered by all who knew her.
In the final act of her generosity, Eileen donated her body to medical research, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service to humanity. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to experience her love, kindness, and joy.
Eileen’s spirit will live on through the many lives she touched with her warmth and love.
