Eleanor Marie Scibelli, 82, of Brooksville, FL funeral service is 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 5030 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill, FL. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:15 AM until service time.
A native of New York, NY and a local resident since 1991, when she moved here from Medford, Long Island, NY, Eleanor was a homemaker and a member of St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, and nanny. She loved spending time with family and playing BINGO and Jingles with her friends.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Scibelli of Brooksville, FL; two sons, Anthony Scibelli of Medford, NY and Joseph Scibelli of Brooksville, FL; three daughters; Rose Nardello of Atlanta, GA; Diane Aufrecht and Mary Ann Scibelli, both of Spring Hill, FL; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to HPH Hospice Foundation, 12260 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34613 in rememberance of Eleanor Scibelli.
She will be greatly missed by all.

I’m missing you so much during this time of the year. We always had such wonderful family Christmases – so much love and joy and fun. There are so many memories of our holidays spent together; I can’t even begin to recount them all. Mommy sent me a box of my Christmas stuff that I had been storing at her house (you know how small these New York apartment closets are)! When I opened it up, one of the first things I pulled out was the stuffed Puffalump dressed as Santa Claus. I remember how you used to keep me up at night, making jokes with that doll. We would giggle for hours. I have such vivid memories of that time with you.

I hate this day 10 months ago! It was the worst day in all of our lives. I miss so much Mom. I know you are sending signs like crazy.. I have had the most beautiful yellow finch that I have ever seen here. NEVER in the 9 years has there been one here.. So I bought a feeder and now they come more. You would love it.

Well the holidays are upon us, and it is oh so very sad and even harder without you! We will be preparing Thanksgiving dinner today at Wendys and you will be in every single thought throughout the day. Especially your famous stuffing!!! We hate being selfish, but we all wish you were here with us, our sanity is to know that you and Anthony are no longer in pain.
I put up your decorations yesterday, Most of them made it up. We found your Christmas Tree and boy oh boy Mom does it shine and sparkle right under you!!!!
If you would have heard and seen Daddy when we put the tree on the table he was soo excited!! HE JUMPED out of his chair with excitement! She said she heard you calling her name as she was about to get her test done.. I am sorry I have not written lately.. Live is crazy. I know that you have answered all of my prayers lately.. I have sold my house, I really am sad about that.. I think of you everyday sitting on the patio and how much you loved it out there.. watching the birds and the hummingbirds.. The good thing about this is that I will be able to live by Noelle for at least 6 months out of the year. I know you know how important it is to be by your children.. Hi Mom , Wendy had her baby ELLIE on July 21st (721) .We know you were there with us there was so many signs it was great !!!! We sure do miss you and love you to pieces ….The baby’s name is ELLIE MAE just for you because she always told you that and she called you ELLIE MAE POTTER LOL !!!! Wendy is doing good she was in labor for 37hrs then has to wind up getting a c-section….both my girls have had to have c-section thats nuts right ..Thank God everything is good with both Wendy and Ellie !!! Morning Mom , Well we have had a couple of crazy weeks since Wendy had Ellie ,Poor Wendy has been so sick my heart breaks to see her so sick ..She has what called post partum preclampsia it really has been a nightmare for her ,Her blood pressure has been so high she was having bad headaches she really has been having a tough time …The kids are all doing good thank god ..Hopefully Wendy is on the road to recovery its been a long road she waited so long to have her lil Ellie and she is so tiny she is Johns double lol no Wendy in her lol……Everyone is doing great !! This time of year is upon us again. It is so hard not having you and Anthony here with us.. I miss you terribly.. Phyllis and I went out to see Anthony at the grave site on Sunday. I bought him a beautiful wreath from all of us. It is very hard to stand there and look at his name on that headstone..IT SHOULD NOT BE THERE! Christmas Eve will NEVER be the same without you here. We all go through the motions, but no one really has the same feeling it was when we were back in Medford having the best times of our lives.

Things are good. Noelle is doing very well. Bud is still working and I am loving NY.. Noelle was sick last week and I was finally able to make her some chicken soup and some spinach soup. It was so good to be here for her..It is hard not being by Daddy and being able to help all the time. I feel terrible. But you know how it is to want to be by your children! You made a great example Mom and I love you for that and so much more.

Hello Mom, This week was a crazy week Dennis‘s father-in-law passed away ,His name is Paul he was a great guy how he loved Dennis so much so heartbreaking. I told Christine I hope that you guys get to meet her father and brother up there because You guys will all get along with them !! Hi Mom, Happy Anniversary to You and Mommy ..I know i am late but please know you were always in my thoughts ..We are really in unbelievable crazy world right now, There is some virus out there that is worse then the flu it is killing people it is a very dangerous.. We have been in the house for since March 16th ,They don’t want you to leave your house if you do go anywhere you must be six feet away from each other.So many stores have closed down, banks only drive thur ,no restaurants are open to the public ,fast foods close only drive up .. So on your Anniversary we got some terrible news DANA went to the eye dr and they told her to go to this other eye specialist bc her retina was detaching ,So she went and they saw something different they see a tumor in the back of her eye they say it cancer so April 14 she will be going to a cancer doctor for her eye …..We are so sick over this .We will pray for the best….I love you and Mommy and Anthony so much Miss you all XOXOXOXOX DIANE

Just want you to know how much I love and miss you.. as well as Daddy and Anthony.. We have had a family tragedy. Poor Dana had cancer in her eye, that was a very fast growing melanoma. THANKG GOD She caught it right away and it was contained in her eyeball.. the saddest thing EVER is that they had to remover her eye. It is so devastating Mom. We are all heart broken. Poor Diane was a mess. I was so worried about her. The worst part is that we are in lockdown in this county due to a corona virus. Everything has been shut down. Restaurants, business, we are only allowed to stand within 6 feet of other people, we all have to wear masks..IT IS HORRIBLE.. SO poor Diane was not allowed in the hospital at all! Poor Dana had to go in and find out the news by herself. She was a mess. She had the surgery the next and Diane, Dennis, Wendy had to leave her at the front door. just heartbreaking MOM. But you know Dana, she is a fighter and came through this great. With the cancer contained in her eyeball, she does not need chemo or radiation… THANK GOD!!! She is now home recovering with the best 2 nurses anyone could want.. Diane and Wendy.. They are amazing Mom.. You Daddy and Anthony were her Angel on that day! We all love and miss you guys so much.

Your baby has come home to her Mom & Dad. It was a total shock for all of us here. Our hearts are broken and we are just devastated that she is gone..
