Elizabeth J. “Liz” Yandek, 88, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020,
at Alhambra Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, St. Petersburg, Florida.
Liz was born in Elkhart, Indiana and came to Florida in 1966 from Wheaton, Illinois. She was a ‘Born
Again’ Christian and a longtime member of Clearwater Community Church. She enjoyed Bible Study
groups and was often a leader in them.
Liz is proceeded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Stephen, and youngest son Douglas. Survivors
include two sons, Stephen, Jr. and Robert, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is also
survived by her older brother, Harry R. Williams of Wheaton Illinois and loving niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, her family is encouraging donations and support be directed to The Salvation Army in Liz’s memory.
The graveside and burial service will be held in Bushnell, Florida at Florida National Cemetery, where
she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Stephen, who was a Korean War Veteran. Her final goodbye will take place on Thursday January 7th, 2021 at 1:00 pm.

I’m saddened to just now find out that Mrs. Yandek has transitioned. My deepest condolences and prayers of continual peace to you all.
