Mr. Elvis Paul Teter was 90 years old when he peacefully passed away in Rockledge, Florida on August 7th, 2019. He moved to Florida from Michigan in 1946 when he joined the US Navy. Elvis leaves behind his loving wife, Amogene, with whom he enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Additional surviving family members include his daughter Paulette Kittrell; brother Orville Teter Jr.; sisters Nola Thomas, Irene menchinger, Shirley Certa, and Joyce Webber; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his other sister Sharon Wysong and brothers Dale and Jack Teter.
Services arranged by Veterans Funeral Care in Clearwater, FL and hosted at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.
Viewing/Visitation will be held on Friday August 16th, 2019 at 10:30am in the chapel at Sims Funeral Home (201 N. Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA). Elvis will be laid to rest at the City of Douglas Cemetery – Dixie Mausoleum at 11:30am, Officiated by Reverend Casey Wright, with full military honors from the United States Navy.
