A branch has fallen from our family tree, one that says grieve not for me…
Emil Dennis Peticca, 72, of New Port Richey, FL passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, surrounded by love in Palm Harbor, FL.
Born in Greensburg, PA, he moved here from Berea, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline; father, Emil Louis; and brother, Thomas.
He is survived by four children: Jeffrey, Andrea, Susan and Stephanie; brother, Richard; seven grandsons: Ryan, Thomas, Joseph, Christopher, James, Michael, and Aiden; and great grandson, Cooper.
Dennis was often the soul behind our song, the heart behind our love, and the joy behind our laugh. He was a brave man who fought multiple medical conditions courageously throughout the years. He was a man that would accomplish whatever he may have set his mind on.
Dennis was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era. During better times he loved the water, boating, fishing and spending time with family. He had a love for Italian food and a special talent in the kitchen. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and it showed from the array of businesses he opened throughout the years.
We will not weep, for you are free, and by our sides, we know you’ll be.
We love and miss you every second of every day….. xoxoxo
Sorry for your loss. Had a lot of good times with Dennis.Went to see the movie Animal House with Dennis and think of him every time I see that film. I also laugh when ever I think of his dog named Duck.Rest in Peace .
SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS
REMEMBER YOUR DAD WHEN YOU AND RICK WERE KIDS
My deepest sympathy to Denny’s family….I have many fond memories….He truly will be missed by anyone that knew him….my prayers to all…. Ginger
So many great memories of Dennis and his family, growing up on Butternut Lane in Berea. I loved his witty, blunt humor– he often had me and my dad laughing, whether sitting around the garage or out on the golf course. I was also impressed by his intelligence, drive and determination, at the way he could open and run whatever business he chose at any time. God bless you Jeff, Andrea, and Susie…your dad was truly one of a kind.
My condolences to the Peticca family. Dennis one was one my favorite people. Working with him was like going to the circus instead of actual work. He was great with people, really great. We had some really good times together and I wish he would have stayed around the area so I could have had more good times. But he was kind of a wanderer and moving or changing careers didn’t faze him at all. Dennis could adjust to change as well as anyone I ever met.
Even though we didn’t stay close my life is diminished knowing Dennis is not in this world anymore. I am truly saddened by his passing.
May God comfort you until the grief and pain of his passing becomes only the memory of his being here.
Harry Bernhardt
Our sympathy to the entire Peticca family. Many good memories of Dennis from years ago (30-40 years) at family gatherings, picnics, holidays at his brother’s house, etc. So Sorry to hear of your loss.
