Emma “Louise” Meredith
On April 13, 2023, Louise Meredith joined her heavenly family at age 96 after a brief illness. Louise was born on March 16, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Louise was the mother of six children, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. She made the front page of the Louisville, Kentucky Newspaper on Thanksgiving day 1953, when she (much to her surprise) gave birth to Identical Triplet girls. Despite her large family, Louise always made time to provide a beautiful home for her family. She worked hard as a home-maker that had an eye for decorating and sewing usually on a very limited budget as a Minister’s wife. Louise was an accomplished seamstress that designed and made her triplet daughters’ matching outfits.
She won several ribbons for her hand sewn quilts. After dropping out of school in the sixth grade due to her Mother going to work in the factory making weapons for WWII, Louise went back to school in 1975 and obtained her high school diploma at the age of 48. Prior to that, she attended all classes with her husband when he attended Baptist Bible College and credited her skillful note taking to his success in obtaining his college diploma. Louise was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church. Louise is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years Eugene Meredith, her son Thomas and five siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Dennis and his wife Regina of Valrico, Florida, and Ricky of Wesley Chapel, Florida; three triplet daughters, Annette Bradstreet and her husband David of Winter Park, Florida; Janette Meredith Wester, and Paulette Holder and her husband, Kenneth all of Lutz, Florida.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 19 th at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thonotosassa, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Idlewild Foundation or Accent Care Hospice.
