In Loving Memory of Frances Palermo (née Crisafi)
September 19, 1926 – October 21, 2025
Frances Palermo, 99, of Seminole, Florida, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning. Born in Queens,
New York, Frances was one of five children and grew up with a deep sense of family, faith, and kindness that
guided her throughout her long and beautiful life.
Frances worked for many years with Pinellas County Schools, where she touched countless lives with her caring heart and gentle spirit.
A devout Roman Catholic, she lived her faith every day — through her compassion, generosity, and the way she always put others before herself. To her family and friends, Frances was the heart of every gathering — the one whose presence filled the room and whose love made everyone feel at home. She found great joy in life’s simple moments, especially cheering for her beloved Tampa Bay Rays. Frances is survived by her loving children, JoAnn Holloway (Bill), Michael Palermo (Barbara), and Salvatore “Kippy” Palermo (Lorilie); seven cherished grandchildren; and thirteen adored great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and happiness.
Frances will be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering faith, and the way she made everyone she met feel special and like family. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with her husband James, son Dominic and loved ones who went before her. Her love will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Veterans Funeral Care 830 N. Belcher Rd, Clearwater 33765. She will be buried in a private ceremony at a later date with her beloved husband at Bay Pines National Cemetery.

JoAnn, Mike, Kippy,
This really stings because your mom represents OUR childhood years! I thought Mike was the bravest guy the day he caught that water moccasin bare handed and boy did your mom let you have it. I wonder what she’d have done (and my dad) if they knew about the BB gun fights! With my dad, I wouldn’t have survived. I have wonderful memories, you guys were a REAL family. I always looked up to “Dom” as that older cool guy. God blessed you with a wonderful mom.
France’s was our beloved neighbor at OTOW for many years. We loved her. She was the best neighbor and kindest lady ever. Sympathy to all the family.
Hi Mike, Kippy and Joann
So sorry for the loss of your mom. 🩷 I agree with Jim Rudolph, your mother was a pillar of love and light in our little corner of the Bayou. It always amazed me how much your family cooked and always had a plate of food for anyone who visited! She was a guardian of the truest kind! Back in the days when my little brother Patrick would somehow get away from us and we searched everywhere until your mother let us know he was down the street at the Palarmo’s house eating dinner!! When I went to pick him up, your mom offered me a plate also!! God knows this was a good lady!! We love you all so very much! 💖
Mrs Palermo, a great woman with the best attitude (always positive) and always showing everyone how important family is. She always treated me like an adopted son. I was so blessed to be welcomed by her and the entire Palermo family. She will always be in my heart and soul to help me to be positive and help others who are in need.
Dear Mike,
My deepest condolences to you and your family after this tragic loss. I know you were a very tight family and there’s nothing more devastating than the loss of your mother. May she rest in peace and forever in your family’s hearts.
