Franklin Royston LeGrande was born on September 17, 1927 to Loyd and Alice LeGrande in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 31, 2021 just shy of his 94th birthday.
Frank grew up on a farm along with his five siblings, Kenneth, Marian, Willis, Ralph, and Sam. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in French Morocco during the Korean War. He worked on refueling planes. After leaving the military, Frank went on to have successful career of 37 years at Kimray Inc. in Oklahoma.
After retirement, Frank married Betty and moved to Florida. He would work in maintenance at Happy Campground and then did maintenance work at the Fowler Avenue Baptist Church where he Betty served as faithful members for over 25 years.
Frank was the true definition of a true Gentleman. He was kind, generous, and
gracious to everyone. He will be remembered as one who loved his country, family, friends, and most of all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was true and faithful servant of God.
Frank is survived by brothers Sam and Ralph, his children Kevin, Greg, Paul, and Melanie, grandchildern Daniel, Dillon, and Sydney. He was preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Alice Legrande; wife, Betty; brothers Kenneth and Willis, and sister Marian.
Frank will memorialized with a Celebration of Life Ceremony on Sunday, September 5, 2021, following the morning worship starting at 11AM at the Fowler Avenue Baptist Church (6161 E Fowler Ave. Temple Terrace, FL 33617). Followed by a family graveside service at Memorial Park, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma later in the week (Details to Follow).
