Frederick “Wayne” Fannin

Frederick Wayne Fannin, 77, of Largo, FL passed away on Sunday, April 10th, 2022. He was born on June 29th, 1944 to loving parents Fred and Thelma in Jacksonville, FL and came to the Clearwater/St.Pete area to live.

He was in sales and worked for WorldBook Encyclopedia, AAA, and ADT. Wayne attended Woodlawn Church of God and Gulf Coast Church. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1972 and became a lifelong Gators fan. He loved to help his wife in her classroom and volunteer at their church as a greeter. Wayne was kind, loving, always willing to give the shirt off his back.

He played tennis and read books about improving, but didn’t care about winning. He loved sports, especially his football. He would have a different game on every TV in the house. He liked to travel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Fannin, and step brothers, Robby (Jeannie) Fields and Dale (Linda) Fields, their “borrowed” Godchildren, Chelsea Zielke, Moriah Keith, Hanna Broddus, Amanda Kessie, and Josiah Kessie.

He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Thelma, his step mother, Virginia Fannin and step brother Randy Fields.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor at Gulf Coast Church (13301 Walsingham Rd, Largo, FL) with Pastor Randy Morris on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at 2PM.
