Galina (bat Tuvi) Tsertisivadze was a beautiful Jewish woman born on April 13, 1946, in Baku, Azerbaijan to Tuviya Rebruch and Dasya Romm.
She left us on May 2, 2023, in Tampa, Florida at the age of 77. She was a music teacher and bookkeeper, but her passion was always being around her family and her friends. It’s hard to sum her magnificent soul into an obituary…she was such a kind and compassionate person that her phone would ring all day long – be it people calling to hear from her, or to ask for her advice (which she always gave sagely).
Her smile lit up an entire room, and she loved to laugh – her smile and joy was infectious. She loved to read – her personal library boasted over 500 books – but she also loved a good Russian television series (detective and game shows, of course.) She had a fondness for cooking (and did it damn well) and enjoyed inviting people over to eat and revel in her feasts. She touched the souls of countless people and treated everyone that came into her life, be it the store clerk, her children, or her co-workers, with so much kindness and love that it was awe-inspiring.
She also loved the simple things in life: giving great hugs, eating candy with her grandkids, picking out furniture, and studying grocery receipts with the deep concentration one would normally attribute to studying ancient relics.
Galochka is survived by: her daughter, Eteri Boyle, her fiancée Jeffrey Hall, her two children, Liza and her fiancée Jonatan, and Jimmy (aka Ribochka); her son, Eduard Tzertzvadze, his wife, Radika, his two sons, Sasha and Evgeny, and their mother Natasha; her son Sasha Tzertzvadze, his wife Ofra, their two sons Misha and David, and their spouses and children; her two siblings – sister, Masha Edelshtein, her husband Marik, their children Inna and Yulya, and their spouses, children, and grandchildren; and brother Dodik Rebruch, his spouse, children, and grandchildren; and so much other family that loves her and misses her dearly.
Graveside services will be Friday May 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM, in Myrtle Hill Cemetery 4202 E. Lake Ave. Tampa, Florida
