George Anthony Riddick, 56, of Brandon, passes away on January 5, 2016.
George was born January 6, 1959 in Norfolk, Virginia, a son of Bernice Askew Lassiter of Norfolk, and the late John E. Riddick.
George was an outstanding chef, loved to fish, was an animal lover, and enjoyed western and karate movies.
George is survived by his wife of 8 years: Patricia DarnesRiddick of Brandon, her children: Amahjhae Darnes, Kevin Darnes ,Alectra Hood, Grandchildren: Amahjhae Hood, Avontae Hood, Kishawndre Darnes, Daughters: Delilah Riddick and Vincentrise Hall, Sons: George Riddick, Jr. and Anthony Rucker; Grandchildren: Tamia Riddick, Xzaevion Kates, Kashawn Henderson, Khristan Riddick, Kenyon Grey, Iania Taylor, Quondarious Hall, and Clarissa Rucker, Mother: Bernice Lassiter of Norfolk, Siblings: Wanda Stokes and her husband, Roni : Trenice Riddick, Austin Riddick, and Alexander Riddick and his wife, Kristi, and John Riddick, Jr. He is also loved by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many close friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:30 pm on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview drive, Riverview, Florida 335578.
A graveside service will be held, Monday, January 11, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery. Pastor Jim Brady is officiating.
George will be missed.
