George J. Bradford, 55, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 21st, 2019. Born May 29th, 1964 in Rockford, Illinois, George was the son of George Bradford, Jr. and Juanita Beulah Bradford. On July 8th, 1989 he married the love of his life Terrye Garrett in Las Vegas and they shared 30 amazing years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Beulah and brother William Bradford. George leaves behind a loving family including wife Terrye Bradford; son Cody; daughter Shannon; and brothers Dean and Bradley. He was in the construction battalion for the US Navy where he spent eight years abroad before his honorable discharge. He then moved to St. Petersburg to raise his children and worked at Agora leather company as a maintenance man for 10 years. His work ethic was unmatched.
George was a huge baseball fan with the Cubs and Rays being his favorite teams. Spending time with his family was his favorite thing to do. His proudest achievement was raising a pair of children that are happy and successful. A quick wit, sharp sense of humor and desire to help others was unfathomable. He saw the best in everyone and would help anybody.
Viewing/Visitation will be hosted at Veterans Funeral Care in Clearwater, FL on Monday September 30th, 2019 from 5:30p – 8:00p. He will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery on Tuesday October 1st, 2019 at 11:30am. Military Honors will be performed by the US Navy Honors Team and American Legion Post 159. All are invited to attend his services to celebrate his life and support his family through these hardest of times.
