George L. Kajtsa, 76, of St Petersburg, FL passed away at the Suncoast Hospice House Bayfront, St Petersburg, FL on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He was born on May 23, 1942 in Gyergyosentmiklos, Hungary to Steven and Irene Kajtsa.
CPL. George Kajtsa is a USMC Vietnam War Era Veteran. His funeral is 10:30 AM, Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL with Det # 54 of the United States Marine Corps League and the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard providing funeral honors. During his military career, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal; Sharpshooter Badge for Pistol and Sharpshooter Badge for Rifle (M1). He completed the Radio Operators Course at the 1st Marine Division; Tactics Marine Rife Squad course and the Individual Protection Measures Course. After his career, he moved to the St. Petersburg, FL area and retired as the spokesperson for the St Petersburg Florida Police Department.
George is survived by his loving family: his wife, Brigitte Kajtsa of St Petersburg, Florida; two daughters, Felicitas Werner of St. Petersburg, Florida and Christina Davison of Seattle, Washington; three brothers; Steve Kajtsa and Frank Kajtsa, both of Aurora, Illinois and Louie Kajtsa of Florida; a sister, Irene Underwood of Alexandra, Virginia and a grandchild, Sophia.
Our deepest sympathy to Brigetti, Christina and Felicitous. Sorry can’t be there during this bereavement stage but old age has gotten to us. Our prayers are with you.
