George M. Woodley passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 24 at the age of 98. George was born in East Bangor, PA to Earl J. and Alma J. Woodley. He graduated from Bangor High School and then went to Muhlenburg College, enlisted in the Army and was in Okinawa and the Philippines during WWII. He then joined the FBI working in the Chicago office as a special agent for 32 years. During that time, he married Dorothy Louise Casady and they had two boys. After retirement, they moved to Seminole, Florida where they enjoyed golfing and good friends. George also volunteered for the Florida Attorney’s Office working part-time for another 30 years. He is survived by two sons George and John Woodley, a brother James E. Woodley, two grand-daughters Rachel and Rebecca Woodley, and two great grandsons James and Brayden Allen, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Ann Marie Eyer, and his loving wife Dorothy “Corky”. A memorial service will be held at a future date at the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL.
