George St. Clair Heath, Jr 90, of Pinellas Park Florida, formally 173 Woodbury Ave, Springdale, CT. passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018.
There will be a military funeral service and interment to be held at 9 am on November 5th at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33708.
Arrangements are being handled by Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater, FL.
George was born in Greenwich CT. on April 6, 1928. He graduated from Stamford High School, Stamford CT. He was a long time member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
George worked as a salesman for Hoffman Fuel and was a fuel oil business owner for many years. He had a love for woodworking, bridge, crossword puzzles, reading and his computer. He was most passionate about making people laugh and smile. He refused to have a bad day. He shared jokes with friends near and far; his joyous spirit will be cherished by all. He will be remembered for his selflessness, generosity, mild manner (most of the time) and kind heart. He was a Navy veteran and proudly served aboard the USS Valley Forge aircraft carrier.
George was preceded in death by his loving wife Celine; they were married on December 3rd 1950 until her passing on September 26, 2015.
George is survived by 7 children, Daniel Heath, Barbara Joyce, Martin Heath, Anne Nugent, Helen Colucci, Susan Williams, Megan Heath, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and other family and friends.
