George Virgil Shroyer, 68 of Largo, Florida funeral service is 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Seminole Assembly of God Church, 10600 113th Street, Seminole, Florida with Pastor Rodney Kennedy and the Pinellas County Honor Guard, to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 PM until service time.
A native of Sidney, Ohio and a local resident since 1980, when he moved here from Logan County, Ohio, George was a manager for Raytheon; a member of Seminole Assembly of God Church and a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the US Army. He was born on December 26, 1946 and passed away on March 12, 2015 at the Mid Pinellas Hospice Facility.
Preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Phoebe Ralston Shroyer, George is survived by his wife, Alice Kay Shroyer of Largo, Florida; a son, Tony Shroyer of Centerton, Arkansas; daughters; Nicole Shroyer of Mathews, North Carolina, Amanda Cheney and her husband, Andrew of Largo, Florida and Shelly Shroyer of Lakeview, Ohio; two sisters; Ruth Devore and her husband, David of Bloomingdale, Ohio and Gladys Deardurff of Bellefonte, Ohio and a grandchild, Drew Cheney and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
