Geraldine S. Lenio


Geraldine S. Lenio, age 66, of Seminole, FL passed away on April 7th, 2024 at Morton Plant Hospital following an extended battle with cancer. The daughter of Andrew and Loretta Lenio, Geraldine was born in Washington county, PA on June 20th, 1957. She spent her early childhood in Brooklyn, NY and moved with her family to Bay Pines, FL in 1968. In adulthood, Geri lived in Clearwater and Seminole, FL. She was a licensed cosmetologist and retired from Valpak as a graphic artist for over 35 years. Geri’s last place of employment was Freedom Square Inn where she worked as a server in the 3rd floor dining room. Geri was adored by the residents and staff she will be missed there as well. She often said that she was most proud of her career, but what she was really highlighting was her hard work ethic, determination, and independence. Geri was also a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In addition to her faith and being a hard-working woman, Geri also loved softball, racquetball, biking, fishing, and flying kites. She adored her backyard wildlife, feeding all sorts of birds and squirrels daily. Geri was a dedicated pet owner over the years as well, showering her pets with constant love and affection. She was also a local sports fan. She watched the Tampa Bay Rays and the Buccaneers religiously. Geri is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Lenio. Survivors include her guardian, Vincent, Sisters, Kathy, Phyllis, and Maria Kalch, her nieces, Nicole and Jonelle, her nephews, Rick, Gary, Brian, and Keith, her great-nephews, Evan and Ethan, and her great-niece, Emma. She will always be remembered for her spitfire blend of heart and grit. Geri was loyal, fierce, kind, loving, strong, and resilient. A Catholic mass will be held in Geraldine’s honor at the Blessed Sacrament Church on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. with a committal taking place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery to follow. In lieu of Flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
