Gloria Dalee Whisler, 92, of Clearwater, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ralph and Marjorie Weimer. She graduated from Mansfield High School where she met her late husband, Carl Whisler.
Gloria was very gracious, positive and loving towards others. She was hard working and enjoyed raising her four children in her younger years. She was employed by Dillards department store in sales and also sold Premier Design jewelry. She enjoyed traveling with Carl after his retirement. She liked to read, enjoyed going to the beach, and listening to a variety of music. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Largo and loved singing in the church choir and spending time with friends from the church.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl of 63 years and a sister, Beverly Winkle. She is survived by her four children, Cindy Loos (Tim) of Georgetown, Texas, Scott Whisler (Sharon) of Dallas, Texas, Sara Miller (Joe) of Avon Lake, Ohio and Tim Whisler of Clearwater; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A “Celebration of Life” service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Missouri Avenue, North, Largo, Florida 33770. She will be buried at Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, Florida with her husband, Carl.
