Gloria Jean Bullington Smith, 76, of Tampa, FL passed away on June 29, 2021 from a stroke at Melech Hospice House. Gloria worked at the United States Post Office where she met her husband of 28 years, Charles Smith, who unfortunately passed away in 2001. She later became a homemaker where she raised two children, was a foster parent to six children, caretaker to several elderly, and second parent to many of their children’s friends and cousins. She was a loving and kind soul who would give you the shirt off of her back. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind her son Troy Smith (53), daughter Marcy Pett (48), son-in-law James Pett, two grandchildren, Gabriel Pett (16), Giselle Pett (12), three older sisters: Monzell, Joyce, Maryann, younger brother Robert, and many nieces and nephews. Gloria’s first husband Douglas Rodriguez, predeceased her in 2016. Her family wishes to thank all those who have loved her over the years as well as those who continue to reach out with words of support and remembrance.
Gloria was a loving and lovely person many decades ago when she was formerly my sister in law. Her life will be treasured and remembered
