Grace (Mitchell) Lindberg

Grace (Mitchell) Lindberg passed away peacefully at home with family on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018.

Grace was born 88 years ago in Canaan, NH and lived most of her adult years in the Clearwater, FL area. Rev. Guy Mitchell, her first husband, served as Associate Pastor at First Assembly of God for many years and later at Senior Pastor at High Point Assembly of God. Grace was faithfully by his side leading Children’s Ministries and assisting wherever needed, until his death in 1979.

She later married Rodney Lindberg and together they worked and traveled with an RV ministry organization and in their local Assembly of God churches in Clearwater, Trenton, and Homosassa, FL before relocating to Haughton, LA.  Following Rodney’s death in 2017, Grace returned to Clearwater and was under the care of her loving daughter, Jackie Wright, and her husband Roger.

She is survived by her children, Gary Mitchell (Peg), Jackie Wright (Roger) and Doug Mitchell; three grandchildren, Annika Mitchell, Jason Mitchell (Mona) and Zachary Mitchell (Emily), her daughter-in-law, Gretchen Lance (Buddy), six Lindberg/Lance grandsons, their wives, and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Kangas, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Grace’s life exemplified that of a Godly woman with a servant’s heart and a desire for all to know her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She impacted many people with her love and gentle nature.  Grace has now moved from this life and is enjoying being in the presence of God. Although we miss her greatly, we are anticipating the time when we will see her again.

Friends and family are invited to share a memory and sign her guestbook below.
