Gregorio Alfonso, a cherished soul, departed from us on December 17, 2023. Born on April 30, 1933, he traversed life with unwavering love and commitment. His union with Maria Ester Soto on November 13, 1954, marked the beginning of a beautiful journey that spanned generations. Gregorio leaves behind a legacy sculpted by his devotion as a husband, father, and grandfather. His memory lives on through his three adoring children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply. His professional path was one of dedication and service, shaping the lives of many. From the halls of the University of Mayaguez to the Antillean Adventist University and Bella Vista Hospital, his contributions resonated profoundly. Beyond his professional endeavors, Gregorio found solace and expression through artistry. Music and poetry were his canvases, and his melodic voice often graced the airwaves of Contacto NotiUno, touching countless hearts. Gregorio Alfonso’s essence will endure through the melodies he composed, the verses he penned, and the love he shared. In his absence, his spirit remains etched in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering affection.

I pray for all of you, family and friends. It’s a difficult time loosing someone but don’t lose hope, he was a man that believed, he was a man that cared for his family! I remember in church he would always give the kids (including me) our children’s story and he would always give us little cookies, or any treat, he loved telling us about Christ, and his family. I know that we will see Gregorio again, very soon, on that wonderful day when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comes back! Much love and prayers for you all!❤️
So sorry to hear about the loss of your wonderful Father, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
