Harold “Bud” E. Hansen, 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep while in his home in Largo, FL on Sunday, June 7, 2015. He was the son of the late Harold and Irene Hansen.
He served in the USMC and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the UN Service Medal. After leaving the military he served as a police officer in two different states and later became a certified electrician.
He loved anything history related and military related. He was an avid hobbyist who created dozens of replicas of ships, vehicles, and other war related items. He also loved everything about trains including building model railroads. He was an avid story teller about anything and everything he experienced in life, as well as, anything he read about or learned about.
He was loved, and will be truly missed.
He is survived by four children, a sister, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest Bay Pines National Cemetery.
