Harold Howard “Dutch” Hopkins, Jr., 71, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on November 25, 2018, at the Mid Pinellas Hospice Care Center in Pinellas Park, Florida. He was born in Toledo, Ohio.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. Following his service to the country, he spent thirty plus years in the Financial / Insurance Industry. Following his retirement, he worked for the Veterans Administration in Michigan and Florida. He was a true advocate for Veterans and helped in any way he could. He had a great love for the Veterans Administration and the M. D. Anderson Clinic in Houston, Texas.
Harold loved to play golf, fish, and he was an avid racquetball player. He also loved to travel and enjoyed hiking. He was non-denominational and was a member of Calvary Chapel Church. Harold fought the battle with cancer with all that he had, with love in his heart and peace in his soul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold H. Hopkins, Sr. and Mary Taylor Hopkins. He was married twice, had three children by his second wife and had seven grandchildren.
