Harry A. Pier, 72, of Largo, Florida passed away April 14, 2023 at his residence in Largo, Florida. Harry was born December 31, 1950 in Patterson, New Jersey. He was the son of Harry Pier Sr. and Barbara Pitts. On May 6th, 1972, Harry married Loury Ann Martz in Oakland, New Jersey. Together, they shared 50 years of marriage. Harry is survived by his wife Loury Pier of Largo, daughters Heather (Adam) Zima, Brittany (Ryan) Liszeski, sister Kathleen Killian, brother Steven Pier and grandchildren Faith and Adam Zima, Jr. Harry was preceded in death by his sister Maribeth Romaine and his parents Harry and Barbara Pier.
He moved to Florida in 1979. Harry worked at Bell Telephone Company and Coca Cola Bottling Company. He volunteered at Skyline Lakes Fire Department and Pompton Lakes Fire Department until 1979, when he and Loury moved to Florida. He worked at Dana Cement Company while attending fire college and fire academy. He was a volunteer at Indian Rocks Fire Department before 1981 when he became a full time Fireman Paramedic. He held that position for 26 years. He also worked at Suncoast Hospital and Largo Medical Center in the emergency rooms for 32 years.
Harry loved to fish and ride his Harley Davidson. His proudest achievement was being a Fireman Paramedic and raising his two daughters. Harry had an amazing work ethic and an unmatched attention to detail. He was a self-made man whose success lay within himself, not with his outside conditions.

Harry was a supporter and always good to the volunteers and a damn fine fella! I was honored when Harry asked me to drive the 1948 Chevy Fire truck for both his daughter weddings! Rest in peace Harry
I have known Harry since he was hired at Indian Rocks. Worked in neighboring department, and shared love for motorcycle riding. Harry worked with my dad at Suncoast Hospital. Always enjoyed his company. Rest easy my friend.

Heather, Brittany and family, so sorry for the loss of your dad. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Jenni Z.
Sending healing prayers to the family❤️🩹. I remember growing up how incredibly supportive Mr.Pier was to his daughters and always was involved in the horse shows, setting up, driving and hauling horses to camp and shows for us, I look back and I don’t think we could’ve said thank you enough for all the things he did for everyone. When I was hospitalized for an appendicitis he checked in on me while working in the ER, to make sure everything was going alright. He was blessed to have been a father and grandfather and have been such a big part in so many people’s lives. Truly such a loss💔.
❤️RIP Mr.Pier🙏🏽
