Hatsuko Nakagawa Tomoff of St. Petersburg, 82, passed away May 9, 2017.
Hatsuko “Hatsu” was born on March 25, 1935, in Japan, a daughter of the late Kintoku and Masako Nakagawa.
Hatsu was a food service worker for the Pinellas County School system at Maximo Elementary, where she was loved by peers, staff and students alike. She retired after 15+ years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and was an excellent seamstress and she loved children. Her family remembers her as a loving mother and wife.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years: Thomas Tomoff of St. Petersburg, one son: Charles Tomoff of Largo, and two daughters: Martha Ross and her husband Tim of Largo, and Patricia Quartermaine and her husband Ben of Sarasota; 4 grandchildren: Marcus Tomoff, Amanda Ross, Kyle Ross, and Lilly Quartermaine, and two surviving sisters Kimiko Masuda and Kiyoko Murakami.
A memorial service will be held at Wednesday May 24, 2017 1:00 pm at Veterans Funeral Care 15381 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760.
