Helen Saunders, 92, of Largo, Florida funeral services are 2:00 pm, Monday, August 8, 2017 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241 with Father Tom Dieter, to officiate. After graveside services, she will be interred with her husband, Robert G. Saunders (Section 8, Row O, Space 755) who passed away on October 23, 2010.
Born on May 3, 1925 in Richmond, Virginia to William and Blanch (Haynes) McDonough and she passed away on August 23, 2017 at the Sabal Palms of Largo, Largo, Florida. She was a Catholic and retired as a secretary with Union Carbide Corporation. She is survived by her two daughters; Bridgett Meyer and Kathleen Farrell, a son, Scott Saunders and her six grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
