Hoyt Hicks Beaver Jr., age 77, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on December 7, 2024, at Morton Plant Hospital following complications from a ruptured hernia due to esophageal cancer.
Born on December 4, 1947, in Marietta, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Hoyt Hicks Beaver Sr. and Mary Helen (Chastain) Beaver. On February 15, 1997, he married Wanda Sue Young Beaver in Nashville, Tennessee, and they enjoyed 28 years of a loving marriage.
Hoyt is survived by his son, Hoyt Hicks Beaver III, and his brother, Billy Ray Beaver. He dedicated his career to serving the U.S. Army and working in the Atlantic steel industry.
A devoted member of Calvary Catholic Church in Clearwater, he generously contributed his time to support the Calvary Food Pantry, reflecting his commitment to helping others. Hoyt lived in Thomastown and Holly Springs, Georgia, before relocating to Florida.
A service will be held in his honor at Bay Pines National Cemetery on December 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Hoyt’s memory will be cherished by his family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
