Irene Cecelia Mulqueen, 95, of Largo, went Home to be with the Lord at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22,
2021 and at her bedside was her family. She was born on August 20, 1925 in Norwalk, CT, to Donald and
Adelaide Brown. Irene was preceded in death by her only sibling, Everett Brown, and by her husband of
60 years, John Mulqueen. Irene was an Executive Assistant for General Electric for many years in New
York City. She and John began their family with two boys: Doug (married to Joanne) and Dennis (married
to DJ). When John became a General Contractor, Irene did office work for their businesses. They went
on to have two more children: Greg (married to Beth) and Patricia (married to Dave). Irene is survived by
her four beautiful children, their spouses, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She is
beloved by her family and friends and all will miss her gentle spirit. There will be a Celebration of Life
Service held at Connect2Christ Church (9398 Oakhurst Road, Seminole, FL 33776) on Saturday, February
20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a burial, at a later date, for both John and Irene Mulqueen in
Norwalk, CT.
