Jack Edward Taylor entered into his heavenly home December 3, 2021. He was born in Bartholomew County, Indiana on July 16, 1932, son of Roy and Garnet Taylor. Jack was predeceased by his oldest grandson, Joseph Russo. He is survived by his wife, Luverne Mas Taylor, daughters Jackie Taylor and Sandra Norris. Stepson Ryan Euhus, grandchildren Taylor Clark(Kellan), Alex Norris(Heather), Andrew Norris (Emalee), Adam Norris (Caitlyn), Isaiah Euhus and Zahara Euhus-Pal and numerous great-grandchildren.
Jack joined the USAF at age 17, eventually becoming a staff sergeant and an instructor in Air Weather School and meteorology. Jack was always proud of being a veteran. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a B.S. degree in
Education and the University of Florida with a Masters and Doctorate degree in Special Education Administration, Jack served Pinellas County Schools for over 16 years as a teacher and elementary school principal. He believed all children were entitled to be educated to the fullest of their own potential.
Jack was also a very talented singer with a distinctive voice. He sang with the Gospel Quartet The Challengers. His enjoyment of Southern Gospel continued throughout his life. He was fanatical about the Florida Gators sports teams, especially football and basketball and had season tickets to all the games.
Most of all, Jack was a true man of God who sincerely desired for everyone to reach the kingdom of heaven. To this end he became an ordained minister and officiated at several weddings. Jack was involved in many church activities and looked forward to Sundays.
He was a kind and generous devoted husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Services to be held at Dunedin Assembly of God Church, Thursday December 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Jack will be interred in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell where full military rites will be rendered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Suncoast Hospice.

Jack was a great man and a wonderful brother-in-law. He had an amazing life, was kind, caring and was loved by many. We know he was welcomed to heaven with open arms and will continue to pray for us here on earth until we meet again in heaven.
Dr.Taylor was my principal during some difficult times in my life.He was so kind and caring to both my Jill (UF ‘91)!. He always told me I could be a Gator by adoption.May God bless him and keep him in His care.I know Dr.T is Safely Home.Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Dr. Taylor was the principal who brought back the honor of that position for me. He was kind and led his teachers by example. All children are special and deserve the best of our efforts… that is the message I received from him. My prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

Rest in Peace!
Dr. Taylor was my principal. I work with him for 9 great years. He was a wonderful principal to work for and always had a smile. He got me through my first pregnancy and a horrible car accident. I will truly miss him.
My heart is saddened by the loss of Uncle Jack. He always made sure he visited me whenever he was in Indiana. He was there for me when my mom (his sister) was battling breast cancer. I will miss him very much. 😢
