I could fill a book with great memories of Jackie & Verl. Just the fun of going to lunch after church with Kim & Jim and Jackie & Verl. I loved hearing “old” stories of pastoring in Colorado! Of course, we tried to convince them that Colorado was the most beautiful place but they LOVED living in Florida. We didn’t have practicing Christian parents when we were newlyweds. Jackie & Verl played a big part of our life at that time.
Many great memories of fellowship with the Greens. They were good and faithful servants and now rejoicing in heaven with all those who have gone before. One day we will meet again around that big fellowship table and talk over good times with Jesus. Looking forward to that day…..
What a wonderful woman of God with a generous heart. I’m sad to see so many of our saints go on to heaven, but so happy for them. What a way to start the first day of the year and the beginning of the rest of her life. May God bless Her family.
I was just talking about Pastor Verl & Jackie Green in my sermon series during December and now she too is with Jesus and her husband. What a character she was! Through the years I’ve met many Pastor’s wives, but none were as witty and funny as Jackie. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with the Greens away from work (since I was just a young whipper snapper), but when I was around them, she was definitely the life of the party. When we had Pastoral staff dinners and events, you could count on Jackie to make us laugh! She was a strong supporter of the ministry and of her husband and she was a faithful servant of God. She will be missed!
A joy and comfort reading the comments. Mom was all those things and much much more. Her hearts desire these last few months was to join Daddy. She even told us of dreams hearing him calling her back to his side. So, rest in peace Momma – hope Jesus warned your neighbors that you both snore! ! !
Dear sweet Jackie. You will be missed. I will always
Remember your laugh and your spunk. You always
made me laugh. You exhibited the true joy of the
Lord. You were the little lady with the great big heart and personality. A true saint. Everyone loved you, Jackie.
Will miss Jackie greatly, her wit and her laughter
What a privilege to have been a part of Jackie Green’s life for many years. We will miss her wit and humor, as well as her pranks. For a short lady she certainly had a tall influence.
