James C. Evock Jr., 74, of Homosassa Springs, Florida passed away at the Largo Medical Center, Largo, Florida on October 17, 2021. He was born on March 3, 1947 to James C. and Marjorie L (Aikey) Evock Sr in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he enlisted in the US Navy serving 4 years as a Ordnance Mechanic and being discharged from US Naval Station in San Francisco, California. He then became a Pennsylvania State Trooper and retired. He moved to the local area from Surprise, Arizona in 2013 and was of the Protestant faith, a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Jacqueline Evock of Homosassa, Florida; a son, Bracken Evock and his wife, Darla of Beverly Hills, Florida; a daughter still on active duty with the US Navy, Jaime Evock of Dauphin, Pennsylvania and a sister, Margaret Maloy of Midlothian, Virginia.
Funeral Services are 11:00 AM, Monday, December 21, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery, 9201 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida with full military honors being provided by the US Navy Honors and Ceremonial Team from Jacksonville, Florida and the Unites States Marine Corps League # 708.
