Jerry Lewis Mace
May 6, 1960 – November 12, 2022
It is with great sadness that the Mace family announces the passing of Jerry Lewis Mace of Wimauma, Florida. Jerry received his eternal reward on November 12, 2022, at the age of sixty- two. He spent his final days at home surrounded by family and friends. The love of his life, Tammie, faithfully cared for him to the very end.
Jerry was preceded in death by his precious mother, Dorothy HudkinsMace and his brother, Robert Ray Mace.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie; his father, Bobby Mace (Vickie); his children and their spouses, Kevin Mace (Joyce) and Velda Harris (Andrew); his grandchildren, Titus, Isabelle, Macey and Caleb; step-grandchildren, Devon, Noah, Andreanna, Micah, Jeremiah, Alayna, and Dallas; brother-in-law, Alan Humphries (Miriam); sisters-in-law Connie Hardin (Mike – deceased) and Cassie Humphries (Robert); and many family members and friends.
Jerry loved his family immensely. Although, he will no longer be able to gather with them, they are left with so many wonderful memories of times spent together. His beloved, Tammie, was the apple of his eye and his soul mate. They shared many fun adventures together over the years from trips all over the country. His children have a strong faith in the Lord and are blessed to have had such a courageous and strong father. His grandchildren will always remember that their Papa would go through any length or distance to celebrate special moments in their lives. He was the best son, husband, father, and Papa.
The definition of friend was embodied by Jerry in every aspect of life. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, a crying shoulder, and a kind smile. Jerry loved people and people loved Jerry. The evidence of this was beautifully displayed during his final weeks here on earth, when family and friends traveled from all over to see him.
As an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, Jerry Lewis Mace served as the Director of Operations at the Lake Wimauma Convention Center since October 2005. He ministered for twenty-nine years as a Senior Pastor in Florida and a Youth Pastor in North Carolina and Georgia. His legacy and leadership will live on in the lives of everyone who has had the privilege to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to : The Heart of Florida Youth Ranch, 15833 U.S. 310, Citra, FL 32113.

We will miss Jerry’s smiling face on the campground! He was a friend to everyone and a champion for us all. He was fair, kind and true to his word. A man of integrity. I appreciate all he and Tammy have done to create community here in Wimauma!
Praying God watches over his family until they meet again!
We will miss you Jerry, it will be very soon that we see you again in heaven, you are with your mother you missed greatly, and with Jesus most important of all, it will be worth it after all the songwriter wrote, it will be worth it after all of these trials, Your home on high can’t be compared to what is here on earth, Praising God in your robe of pure white, before we know it we all will be in heaven, those that have Jesus in our hearts, And we will live with God Forever more!
Jerry was a dear and precious friend and we loved him like family. He helped us all on the campground and will be sorely missed. Praying for Tammi and the entire family..

There’s a story behind every person. There is a reason why they leave a special light in your heart. Jerry made it possible for Denver and for me to see the ocean for the first time in 2013. Jerry and Tammie welcomed us as Family.
Forever in my heart until we meet again.
He was my absolute favorite all the way around, youth pastor, extended uncle and friend. So grateful he got my parents to move to Florida. Hopefully he’s already met up with my father in heaven… he will be missed truly
I am extremely saddt to here of Jerry passing..Mr. Jerry was my Youth pastor for my teenage years and if it wasn’t for Jerry and his youth group I don’t know where me and my twin sis would be in life I know for sure he played a great role in our lives kinda like the Dad we wished we had. My heart and prayers go out to Tammy velda and Kevin. Jerry was a good good man I am Thankful to have been blessed to have had him growing up. I know he will be greatly missed.
I am so sorry to hear this . Mr. Jerry Mace was such a strong man of faith . He was our youth pastor about 20 something odd years ago here in Charlotte North Carolina at Eastway Church of God . His youth ministry brought me and my sister closer to the Lord , at a time we needed it most . He left an unforgettable impression on us that we still talk about to this day.
My heart goes out to his family at this time. Y’all are in our prayers and our thoughts.
I know the family is going threw a lot but not to let his whole family know of his passing is wrong none of you bothered to his ant Bonnie or his cusion Margie who he grew up with like a sister that is so hurtful should be ashamed of yourselves not only that not even put in the rememberance selfish people do selfish things what do you think jerry would say to you
It’s with deep hearts that we have lost a dear friend and brother in christ. We know heaven has received one of their warriors home after he has completed his mission. His love and spirit carries on in his beloved and precious wife Tammy. Through his children, Kevin and Velda, grandchildren, inlaws, families and friends. May God give the family peace and guidance as they navigate new waters of life. Know that you are not alone as we are all here for you.
May his grace and mercy cover you in Jesus Name.
Love Anthony, Daphne, Olivia Miles Pauldin.

Without a doubt, God is saying “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Love Ann and John
