My dad was my hero. I told him often how proud I was of him, how much I admired all that he accomplished. That he was a survivor and that I could see right through his tough exterior. He showed his vulnerability more often than he thought. And although there were seriously tough encounters with him he was really genuine, tender hearted, and I know, because we talked, that he loved all of his children very deeply. I thank God for giving me the wisdom to have understood him as a human being, and as a man. But tonight as I think about him on the day when we lost him 2 months ago, I just miss him, Papi, my Daddy, my confidant and friend. RIP Papi, you are always, always in my heart!
Happy Birthday Papi! I miss you and love you!
