Joe Pippen

Joe Pippen, born January 11th, 1947 in Richmond, VA, passed away July 29th, 2021 at the age of 74.   Joe is survived by his wife, Beverly Price Pippen of Largo, FL; sons, Joe Pippen III (Trey) of Pinellas Park, FL and Troy Pippen of Largo, FL; grandsons, Austin Pippen of Valrico, FL and Trevor Pippen of Pinellas Park, FL; brother, Bruce Pippen of Gainesville, FL. and his father, Joe Pippen Sr. of Clearwater, FL.

Joe Pippen graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School in 1975 with a Juris Doctorate and had been practicing law since 1982.  Joe established numerous Law Offices throughout the state of Florida and his law firm consisted of five attorneys that practice in the areas of Estate and Tax Planning, Probate, Real Estate, Medicaid, Family Law, and many other areas. Joe also taught Business Law and Management at Anne Arundel Community College and at St. Petersburg College.

Besides his noteworthy business and career accomplishments, Joe had numerous other achievements to his credit. Pippen served 10 years as a Lieutenant in the National Guard and retired as a Captain. He had been honored four times as one of the “Outstanding Men of America,” was listed in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in American Law. He also was cited as one of the “Outstanding Volunteer Activists.” and received an honorary Doctorate Degree from Landmark Baptist College.  Of all his achievements, Joe was most proud of the money he had raised for the United Way and his volunteer role with young people through the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation.

Pippen was a noted speaker and lecturer on motivational and personal dynamic subjects as well as management and legal topics. He provided weekly seminars free of charge. His weekly column, “Ask an Attorney,” appeared in several local newspapers, and he had hosted the longest running, weekly radio call-in show entitled “Ask an Attorney” since 1985.

Joe and Beverly were high school sweethearts and had been married for 51 years.  Joe was a loving and devoted husband, father and son.  Joe was a born again Christian, a humble servant of God always giving of himself and asking nothing in return.   A mentor, inspiration and role model, he was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held August 11th, starting @ 1PM at Indian Rocks Baptist Church.  The service will also be live streamed for those who cannot attend.  http://pippen.memorialsite.us/
