John H. Harris, Sr. was born on August 27, 1932, in Tuskegee Alabama to Margaret Edwards and Johnny Stevenson.

John H. Harris, Sr. was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist church for many years and a faithful servant. He loved God and reading his bible. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, working on cars and detailing them. He served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War in his early years.

John H. Harris, Sr. was with his family when he departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

He was proceeded in death by his father Johnny Stevenson, his mother Margaret Edwards, his wife Dorothy M. Harris, his brothers David Harris, Robert Harris, and William Harris. His sisters Johnny M. Wright, and Eva M. Griggs. His sons John H. Harris Jr., Antonio L. Harris and his daughter Monica D. Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memories…
• Children: Norma Williams (Leonard), Julia Jackson, Cecalia Currington, Paula Evans, Reginald Harris, Benita Solomon
• Brother/Sister: James McDonald (Annie), Jessie Sister
• Grandchildren: Camille Harris, Jason Harris, Demetrious Harris, Donyelle Williams, Angela Fabian, Jerome Jackson, Woodrow Wynn, Denise Evans, Marcus Harris, Wendy Harris, Samuel Currington, Shannon Williams, and a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
