John Macedo Age, 82, passed away at Suncoast Assisted Living Facility on October 28, 2019. He was the son of Manuel and Amandia Macedo. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Macedo and by his former wife Gladys Macedo. He is survived by his children: Rev. Allison Vigna and Tony Vigna, Cheryl Macedo, Joanne Macedo and his five stepchildren. John was the brother of Maria Ferreira and Robert and Rosa Spetrini and Franco. He had one niece, Amandia Spetrini. He also had five grandchildren, Melissa Mello & Paul, Tabitha Vigna (Pablo), Derek Yates (Jennifer), Ian Yates (Beth), Gina St. Aubin (Shawn) and numerous grandchildren from Yvonne’s family. John also had 14 great grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren from Yvonne’s family.
John was in the Navy in the 1950’s and loved talking about his Navy days on the submarine and the places he had visited. He also was the proprietor of Macedo’s Travel Agency. He was famous for his Bus Tours for 20 years. Upon his retirement, John moved to Largo from New Bedford, Massachusetts. He loved playing cards at the club where he lived before moving to Suncoast Assisted Living Facility. John will be missed for his long talks, his charm, and his wit. His daughter Allison planted a tree in Israel in memory of her Dad.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Monday, November 4, 2019.
