John R. Cannon, 83, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
Jack was born March 17, 1932 in Richmond, IN. He was retired from the US Army in 1974 and was retired from the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL. Jack loved sports of all kinds and especially loved going to the beach. He was a former member of West Coast Officials Association and West Coast Umpires.
Jack was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Friend.
He is preceded in death by his son, John R. Cannon II. Survivors include the wife of 58 years, Shirley; three children: Lynn (Gordon) Moody of Tampa, Angelee Cannon -Marsh of Dade City, FL, and Terry of Tampa; 6 grandchildren and 7 greath grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be at a later date.

I worked with John for many years at the VA hospital. He was a great person to work with and was always a nice guy and a good supervisor to work for, he was well liked and will be missed.
