John Joseph Taylor was born on June 23, 1960 to Walter and Francis (Gersch) Taylor in Jersey City, New Jersey. He passed away on January 4, 2017 at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is survived by his longtime friend Robert Hindman, a Navy veteran.
Marine Corps
John served in the Marine Corps as an Assaultman from 1978 to 1982 and was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal. At the time of his discharge he was eligible to wear the Good Conduct Medal, his Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and his designation as a sharpshooter on his uniform.
Bay Pines
A private service for LCpl John Taylor is scheduled at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
