The family will friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. Full military honors and burial will be 2:30 PM, Friday, August 18, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida with Bishop Martinez and the US Army Military Funeral Honors Team to officiate.
SSG Willis was born in Denver, Colorado on November 11, 1955 and passed away at the James A Haley VA Hospital, Tampa, Florida on August 3, 2016. During his military career, he was awarded/ or attended: The Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal w/ 1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Good Conduct Medal w/ 6 Awards; National Defense Service Medal w/ 2 Awards; NCO Professional Development Ribbon w /3 Awards; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon w/ 3 Awards; Food Service Course; Primary Leadership Course; Food Service Management Course; Club Manager Course; Command Language Program Course; Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course; Program Analysts Course; Immediate Clipper Programming Course and assigned as the West Point Enlisted Club Manager.
SSG Willis is survived by his loving family: his wife, Donna Willis of Wesley Chapel, Florida; sons; Jason Willis and his wife, Moe of Dumfries, Virginia and Jeremy Willis and his wife, Angelina of Wesley Chapel, Florida; a daughter, Tami Willis of Wesley Chapel, Florida; his mother, Genevieve Willis of Ventura, California; a sister, Kathy Jordan and her husband, Carl of Ventura, California and his grandchildren: George Sheutta, Isaiah Sheutta, Phoenix Sheutta, Andrew Willis and Arthur Willis.
