Johnnie Johnson “Papa Johnnie”, 80, of Tampa, FL, left us to be with Lord on Monday, September 14, 2015.
Johnnie loved spending time with his birds, squirrels, his friends and staff at his residence. He looked forward to his little sister, Emma, and brother in law, Mike, to come over and visit with the kids, Tera, Shaela and Mikey.
He was our gentle loving man that always had a big smile on his face. He loved shopping, and sports from golf, basketball, and football. He was a devoted fan of Miami Heat, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and FSU. Everyone that met him adored him. He would feed everyone that would come in his room and visit. He was a great cook, great brother and a wonderful Papa Johnnie to the kids. He will be missed by all. He spent his last years at SCI F with a great staff, friends and the last couple of weeks at SCI B with a great group of caring and awesome staff. He joins his mom, sister and little brother who welcomed him through the Gates of Heaven.
A memorial service, arranged with a lot of care by Veterans Funeral Care, will be at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
