Joseph J. Arcuri, 88, CPL-US Army Veteran funeral service is 2:00 PM, Friday, March 20, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with Reverend Father Robert C. Dobb and the Veterans of Foreign War Post 10209, officiating. Please assemble at the cemetery between 2:00 PM and service time, on the day of the funeral.
A native of Chicago, Illinois and a local Hudson Florida resident since 1989, when he moved here from Mokena, Illinois, he was a retired heating and air conditioning service man for Sears; a member of St Mary’s catholic Church in Mokena, Illinois and he was attending Immaculate Conception Old Roman Catholic Church in Hudson, Florida. Joe was a UA army Air Corps (United States Air Force) veteran that served from 1944 THRU 1948. He was a Medical Corps man and also a sheet metal and was awarded a World War II Victory Medal; US Army Occupation Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary (Alvato) Arcuri and a son, Joseph in 1987 and a daughter, Theresa Wilson in 1987, Joe is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosemary (Desiron) Arcuri of Hudson, Florida; a son, Michael Arcuri and his wife, Carolyn of Minooka, Illinois; two daughters; Roseann Ingalls and her husband, Donald of Manhattan, Illinois and Mary Nowak of New Lenox, Illinois; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
