Cousineau, Joseph Robert (GI Joe) passed away March 24, 2020. He was born on August 25, 1944 in Bristol CT to Raymond and Veronica Cousineau. He is survived by his brother David (Barbara) Cousineau, his sister’s Edith (Howard) Maxfield and Pam (Alvin Jr) Brooks. He has joined his parents and brothers Raymond and Robert John in Heaven. He leaves behind his 3 children, the grand children and great grandchildren of Marissa (Missy) Meehan, Jason (Anna Lewis) Cousineau and Dawn (Kevin) Kalinsky. He met his loving wife Carolyn in 2006. They spent time cruising and travelling. His favorite times were in Alaska, riding in a helicopter and walking on a glacier and the locks of Michigan. The last few summers were spent in MI with his best friend, his service dog Spencer enjoying nature and golf cart rides. Spencer crossed the rainbow bridge in March 21, 2020 3 days before Joe. We all felt Joe died of a broken heart. Joe proudly served in the VietNam War from 68-71 as an Army Sgt. He always said the Army made him a stronger and better man. He was a Life Member of Amvets, Americal, DAV, 1st Cav, and VFW. Also a member of American Legion and Eagles. Joe’s Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held on Sunday, Feb 21, 2021 at AmVets 67, 512 S Lincoln, Clearwater FL at 1pm. Please keep him in your thoughts and smile.
