It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Josiah Montgomery Woessner, who entered eternal rest on January 19th, 2024, in the serene surroundings of Clearwater, Florida.
Josiah, born on June 17th, 2000, in Columbus, Indiana, was the cherished son of Garry and Mary Ann Woessner. His formative years were spent in the embrace of Tabernacle Christian School in Edinburgh, Indiana. Professionally, Josiah dedicated his skills as a carpenter, contributing his craftsmanship to the projects undertaken by Vera Construction.
Left to treasure the memory of Josiah are his beloved Mother, Mary Ann, Father, Garry, and a constellation of Siblings: Marcus, William (Julia), Christian (Jasmine), Jonathan (Carissa), Isaiah, Garry, Canaan, and Ava-Grace Woessner. He was also an adored uncle to Nieces Emma and Octavia Woessner, and Nephews Carter, Zaithen, Zaron, Landon, Lil Will, Calvin, Elliot, Jax, Grant, and Julian Woessner.
Josiah’s life was a testament to his unwavering love for family. Whether engaged in the simple joys of everyday life or pursuing his passions, be it hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, bird hunting, or riding his motorcycle, Josiah’s greatest happiness was found in the company of his loved ones. A spontaneous provider of joy, his unexpected appearances with hamburgers ready for the grill brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
His spirit, like his heart, was vast, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Josiah, a beacon of inspiration, held a steadfast belief in the inherent goodness of people. With a heart as expansive as the Universe itself, he was a paradox of complexity and simplicity, always capable of bringing a radiant smile to every room he entered.
The void left by Josiah’s departure is immeasurable, and though time may soften the edges of grief, the memory of his vibrant presence will endure. May his soul find eternal peace, and may the love he shared continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Josiah Montgomery Woessner will be eternally missed, leaving a void that time cannot fill.
