Joyce (Joy) Hawkins Weeman, 72, of Seminole went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She died at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born November 30, 1948, in Takoma Park, Maryland, she moved here from Honolulu, Hawaii, where she had lived with her husband, Lin, stationed at Hickam AFB. A loving wife, mother and grandmother (Oma), she was a retired credentialing manager with EmCare and a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks.
Predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Charles Hawkins, her family includes her husband, Lin, 2 daughters, Chrissy Stevens of Largo and Jeanette Dunham of Seminole, a sister, Jan Morrison of Seminole, 2 brothers, Tom Hawkins (deceased) and Bob Hawkins of Phenix City, Alabama, and 4 granddaughters, Ava, Malia, Ruth and Olivia.
A memorial service was held on September 5th at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. Donations may be made to National Ovarian Cancer Coalition or the SPCA in her honor.
Internment will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
