Joyce Anita Spooner (Stanley), 67, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on October 24, 2022.
Born on June 3rd, 1955 in Highlands, New York, Joyce was the daughter of the late Temple (Red) Stanley and Doris (West) Stanley. She grew up in Calhoun, Georgia and spent the majority of her life in Orlando, Florida.
Preceded in death by nephew Richard Stanley, brother Terry Stanley, and cousin Carl Jordan.
Joyce is survived by her brother Steve Stanley (Theresa) and family. As well as her two daughters, Jennifer Shiver and Erika Murray. Her five beloved grandchildren, Christian Shiver, Joslyn, Kai’lee, Amber, and Donovin Murray.
Joyce retired from Orange County Public Schools Transportation in 2007, where she worked tirelessly for 17 years alongside the late Debra Morse and Mary Meeks who were her best friends. She met so many people who helped shape who she was and became her extended family.
She was a lover of books, Patrick Stewart, yellow roses, southern food, and most of all, Jesus.
As per Joyce’s request, no funeral service will be held. There will be a celebration of life on her birthday, Saturday, June 3, 2023. Please check back for additional information.

I enjoyed working with Joyce, she was always so sweet to me. She would come to my office to chat and take a break.
