Juan A. Ramirez, 84, of Pinellas Park, Florida passed away on December 27, 2023 at the Bay Pines VA Hospice. He was born on June 25th, 1939 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was the son of Dominga Flores and Rafael Ramirez.
Juan married Leticia Rodriguez on June 19th, 1965 and together, they shared 58 years of marriage. Juan is survived by his wife- Leticia, a son and 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 1 sister and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Juan was in the Air Force, and employed by Martel, Boos Allen, Nielsen, and as a Golf instructor. Juan was a member of Chi Chi Rodriquez Golf Club and several others, The American Legion, Elks Lodge, VFW, and PGA Association.
Juan had lived in Puerto Rico, New York, Germany, England, Thailand, Turkey, Washington State, North Carolina, Virginia, and Arizona throughout his life. He enjoyed golf, theme parks, movies, playing the guitar, playing flight simulator games, and riding roller coasters.
His proudest accomplishments were obtaining his Bachelor’s degree majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Liberal Arts, being a Golf instructor and retiring from the Air Force after 26 years.
Juan was also a Notary and did a great job officiating many weddings. A Vietnam Vet and he proudly served in the US Air Force as a Master Sargeant.
To my Aunt Lety and Cousins. I just want you know that he was a great man and will be missed by many. I will never forget that he officiated my wedding and was always there to help if called upon on. He will always be in my heart. I hope he is now in heaven playing and enjoying an endless game of golf. Love you Tio.
