June Phyllis Wilbur was born on June 10, 1927 in Cranston, Rhode Island to Howard and Helen Wilbur. She passed away on June 8, 2020 at the North Pinellas Care Center in Palm Harbor, Florida at the age of 92.
Family
June was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Helen Wilbur of Dunedin, Florida as well as her brother Howard Wilbur, Jr. of Dunedin, Florida.
Military
June Wilbur joined the Navy on October 14, 1956 and retired over 30 years later as an E9, Master Chief Photographers Mate on January 1, 1987 serving actively during the Korean War.
Services
A graveside service for June P. Wilbur is scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery. The United States Navy will be providing military honors. The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association as well as the Military Women of Tampa Bay Unit 55 will be in attendance as honored guests. All guests planning on attending should plan to arrive no later than 1:40 pm.
Special Considerations
In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions can be made to the Military Women of Tampa Bay Unit 55 in honor of Master Chief Wilbur.
