Justin David Riston, age 46, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away on April 16th, 2023 in Peace River, FL following a boating accident. On August 30th, 1976, he was born in Mission Viejo, CA to loving parents, Dave Riston and Eileen Barry Riston.
On July 3rd, 2004, he married Lina Garcia in Clearwater FL. Together, they shared 19 years of marriage. Justin was a contractor in the construction field and worked hard to provide for his family. Throughout his life, Justin lived in Pittsburgh, PA; Clearwater, FL; Dunedin, FL; Houston, TX; Tarpon Springs, FL; and lastly, Palm Harbor, FL.
He enjoyed golf, fishing, cooking, watching football GO STEELERS!, hockey GO PENGUINS!, Nascar, grilling, camping, playing the guitar, and watching movies.
Justin was strong, protective, blunt, determined, and funny. His proudest legacy is, and always will be, his daughter, Nicole, who was the apple of his eye.
Justin is survived by his wife, Lina Garcia; daughter, Nicole Riston; stepdaughters, Daniela and Silvana; parents, Dave (Lynn) Riston and Eileen Barry Riston; siblings, Kristopher (Lori), Korri (Phil), and Jesse; and nieces and nephew, Autumn, Brooke, Cadance, Kelsey, Grant, and Lyla.
His biggest dream was to see Nicole graduate from college. To help her achieve that goal, you may contribute to her college fund instead of bringing flowers or cards.
Services will be held in his honor at Veterans Funeral Care, located at 830 N Belcher Road Clearwater, FL 33765 on Friday April 28th, 2023 with a visitation to begin at 2:00 PM and Celebration of Life Ceremony at 3:00 PM.
Blue was his favorite color; please honor him by wearing something blue to his Celebration of Life, if possible.
